In addition to performing on stage, she has been researching the beneficial effects of Indian classical music on Autism and mindfulness for the last few years. Mindfulness is all about being present without judgement.

She discovered that ragas as performed on stage in live concerts need modifications which include speed, beats, rhythms to be beneficial for mindfulness. Hence the mindfulness raga becomes entirely different from the ragas performed in live concerts on stage.

Based on her research, Indrani has developed “Panchajanya Om” a unique form of mindfulness! Indrani’s mindfulness session uses vocal Indian Classical Music to help people in a wonderful meditative way and has been observed to produce beneficial effects on people suffering from autism, ADHD, stress, anxiety, anger issues, depression, dementia and forgetfulness. This unique mindfulness method using her mesmerizing melodies can literally transform someone’s entire world from the inside out.

Indrani has presented her research at the American Music Therapy Association New England Region Annual conference in 2018 . Her work has been featured in the E.P.I.C Jan/Feb 2020 Tri county CT edition.
