Kenneth Birk believes continuing the proven Avon Republican Leadership will allow the Town of Avon to continue delivering a world class education to the children of Avon. As an education board member, Ken would focus on three central themes:
(1) Inspiring a passionate environment for learning,
(2) Preparing for the future with optimized technology, and
(3) Connecting our children with industry.

Kenneth Birk is a 7 year Avon resident and was recently married to Jennifer. He presently serves as a member of the Avon Inland Wetlands Commission, member. Ken is also active professionally as the President of the Actuaries’ Club of Hartford & Springfield. He also was recently elected to the Society of Actuaries’ Product Development Section Council. Ken volunteers at the Hartford Actuarial Bootcamp to assist and provide scholarships to local high school students aspiring to a career in actuarial science. Ken is an Actuary and Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA), Member of American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and Charted Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA). He is a Director of Product Development and Pricing for Individual Life Insurance at Prudential Financial in Hartford. Ken has a B.S. in Actuarial Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Penn State University.
