Last Thursday, the UberBots held the annual Alumni Night. Former team members who were home on their break from college got the opportunity to reunite with each other and the current members. The meeting began in the Avon High School cafeteria, with snacks for everyone and talking and laughing all around. Each former member introduced themself and told where they were going to college or working. This is a great way to inspire team members and show what FIRST robotics can help you accomplish. However, the alumni were eager to see the new workshop, so things soon transferred there. They were impressed with how the workshop was coming along. Overall, Alumni Night is fun for the whole team and is the perfect opportunity for current UberBots and alumni to see each other again and look back on memories from past years. Also, kickoff will be on Saturday, January 4, so the team is now working to finish preparing the workshop for build season.
