Update On Absentee Ballots For The Aug. 11 Presidential Preference Primary

Those who submitted an application should receive their ballot shortly.

July 29, 2020

All applications received by the Avon Town's Clerk's Office have been entered into the State of Connecticut's Election Voter Registration System and will continue to be entered daily as we receive them. It was our Office's understanding that ballots were going to be mailed out by the Secretary of the State's Office (via a mail house) starting July 21st. Unfortunately, this did not happen. We have been informed by the Secretary of the State's Office that ballots were starting to be mailed out as of July 27th. Please note that this delay was not on our end in the Avon Town Clerk's Office and that all applications were entered into the system on time. You should be receiving your ballot shortly if you submitted an application. Please mail your ballot to our office or drop it in the secure lockbox that is located outside of the Town Clerk's Office (Building #2).
