BETHEL WEATHER UPDATE: How Much Snow Will We Get on Saturday?

The National Weather Service predicts snow for Saturday, but how much will we get?

The National Weather Service had issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Fairfield County through Saturday and predicts 2-4 inches of snow. The snow prediction has been downgraded from Wednesday’s estimate of 3-7 inches.

A detailed forecast is below:

  • Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 15. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
  • Friday - Sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
  • Friday Night - A chance of snow after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 22. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Saturday - Snow before 11am, then freezing rain and sleet, possibly mixed with snow. High near 33. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Light northeast wind becoming north 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Saturday Night - Snow likely, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Sunday - Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
  • Sunday Night - A chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
