The grocery wants to expand its grocery and create another nearby building.

BETHEL, CT — Caraluzzi's grocery store downtown has a plan to expand its current building and build a mixed used building nearby. The plan was submitted as a letter to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The mixed-use 18,000 square foot proposed building would have retail on the ground level and officer space and apartments on a second floor, according to the News-Times. The food market building would expand by 1,630 square feet.

A public hearing is scheduled for Feb. 27.
