Family of Missing Easton Couple Says Money Not a Factor in Disappearance
Easton police released a statement from the Navin's family.

UPDATE — Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015: Police have released a statement from the family of the missing Easton couple that said financial issues are not a factor in their disappearance.
An article on greenwichtime.com Thursday said that the bank accounts of Jeanette and Jeffrey Navin, who were last seen Aug. 4, have available funds in them and have not been touched.
In the statement, released by Easton Police Chief Tim Shaw, the family asked for “privacy and respect” during what is a troubling time.

Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015: New information has surfaced regarding an Easton couple missing since Friday.
An Aug. 12 article in the Hartford Courant said Jeffrey Navin owes more than $2 million on a mortgage for his Hart Road home in Guilford.
Navin, 56, and and his wife Jeanette Navin, 55, were last seen Aug. 4. Connecticut state troopers found their car over the weekend in a commuter lot near exit 42 off the Merritt Parkway, according to News 12.
The Courant said that Jeffrey Navin is president of J & J Refuse of Weston. Jeanette Navin works as a paraprofessional in the Weston Intermediate School library.
The Navins’s attorney, Kenneth R. Davis of Stamford, said he has not been in touch with the couple.
