Campaign Notebook: Endorsements for Shays, Murphy

The League of Conservation Voters, a pro-environment advocacy group, endorsed two candidates last monthfor Connecticut’s Senate race. On one side is Chris Murphy, the congressman campaigning for higher office. On the other is Chris Shays, a former congressman voted out of office in 2008.

Rosa DeLauro (D) and her other congressional colleagues from Connecticut announced a job training and housing grant program for veterans.

 "With this grant, The Workplace, Inc. will continue to lead the way in the critically important task of helping veterans adjust to the civilian workforce," said DeLauro said in a statement.
