Generator Permits Are Humming in Woodbridge
More than 300 generators have been installed in town in the past year alone.

It could have just been a coincidence, but perhaps it's more appropriately described as evidence.

And the stats provided by the Building Department certainly back that up. Since Jan. 1, more than 20 generators have been installed in town. Going back even further, to March 28, 2012, more than 300 generators have been installed.
While the calls about generator permits come in bursts following each major storm and accompanying power outages — the department was fielding four to five calls a day for a while — they have still been steady even in fair weather.

So much so, the department says, that electricians are telling them that there's still a six- to eight-week wait for generators to be shipped.
