State Police Release Accident/Enforcement Statistics From Holiday Weekend

Lt. J. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police has released the accident/enforcement statistics from the Labor Day weekend. These numbers include incidents incurred between midnight on Friday and midnight on Monday.

As of the writing of this release the enforcement action that has taken place by State Police:

·    1249 speeding

·    101 seat belt violations

·    2045 other  violations

·    49 driving while under the influence

Motor vehicle accidents that have occurred:

·    300 total accidents

·    14 with injury

·    1 fatal accidents with 2 deaths
