Bridgeport Murder Suspect Extradited From Ohio

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The 41-year-old suspect in the April 6 murder of Brianna McKoy in Bridgeport has been extradited back to the city from Ohio, according to authorities.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force travelled to Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on Friday to pick up Derrick Francis, also known as Ainsley Forbes.

He was charged with murder, and is being held in lieu of bail of $3 million.

Francis was apprehended in Ohio on April 17, almost two weeks after he was accused of shooting and killing McKoy in a condominium on Vincellette Street in Bridgeport.

According to Bridgeport police, officers in Ohio pulled Francis over during a motor vehicle stop. He tried to run away, but was quickly detained; police found a loaded firearm in his vehicle.
