Bridgeport Teacher Threatens To Have Principal Shot: Report

The elementary school teacher, a Shelton resident, works as a media specialist.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport elementary school teacher, apparently angered that she was being assigned to cover someone else's class, allegedly threatened to have the principal shot and has been arrested, reports the Connecticut Post.

Shelton resident Sandra Aldave, 51, who has worked at James J. Curiale School for four years, allegedly made the threat last month and was arrested on a warrant charging her with second-degree threatening and breach of peace. News 12 Connecticut's Frank Recchia exclusively obtained the booking photo for Aldave and posted it to Facebook (see below).

According to police, she is alleged to have said that she could get a gun and could pay someone to shoot the principal. She allegedly first said it would cost $5,000 to get the job done, but then changed it to $3,000, writes the Post.

Aldave, a media specialist teacher at the school, was released after posting a $500 bond, but she has been suspended by the school district.

Patch reached out to a spokesperson for the city Tuesday about the status of Aldave's case who said they were tracking down information, but did not offer further comment.
