LET me take you back to a earlier time period.I want to discuss LIONEL TRAINS that started back quite a while ago and still exist today.The LIONEL TRAIN COMPANY dates back to the year 1900 when JOSHUA LIONEL COWEN of NEW YORK CITY brought about his first THE ELECTRIC EXPRESS IN 1901.IN the beginning trains were made as a display in toy shop windows but the craze started never stopping ever even to this day.The popularity showed there was a demand for train sets and the company got busy producing trains.IN 1986- DETROIT BASED REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER and RAILROAD ENTHUSIAST RICHARD KUGHN bought the brand and established-what we know today as LIONEL TRAINS.IN 1995 RICHARD KUGHN-sold the business to MARTIN DAVIS.THEY owned LIONEL until the year 2000.Then a RICHARD MADDOX took over the company.IN 1995 RICHARD KUGHN was back in charge-of LIONEL.ALL in-all LIONEL is truly part of AMERICAS'HISTORY.
