NOSTALGIA COMIC BOOKS

BOY I remember this cartoon character as well as her friends.LITTLE LULU dates back to 1935.I remember buying LULU comic books for 5 cents BACK IN THE DAY.LULU debuted in THE SATURDAY EVENING POST ON FEBRUARY 23RD 1935 as a news comic strip.The strip ran weekly until DECEMBER 30TH 1944.IT was a strip simply titled ''LITTLE LULU.THE AUTHOR IS MARJORIE HENDERSON BUELL.SHE started drawing at age 16.QUITE a feat for a youngster.LULU after the strip folded became a comic book character for DELL COMICS and at five cents a copy it was great for kids.IN 1948 LULU was presented in her own comic book.LITTLE LULU was famous and her comics sold well.She is truly part of AMERICAS;HISTORY.
