Case Delayed for Ex-Brookfield Finance Director Accused of Stealing $30K
Art Colley was arrested in relation to misappropriation of $30,000 of Brookfield Public School funds for personal use.

The case for the former finance director of Brookfield Public Schools has been postponed until Jan. 11, 2016, according to a notification from the Connecticut Judicial Courts.
Art Colley, 58, has been charged with three counts of first-degree larceny, and one count each of second-degree larceny, second- and third-degree forgery. He is also charged with defrauding a public community and conspiracy to commit larceny.
He and his co-conspirator and former secretary Elizabeth Kerekes are accused of spending more than $30,000 in on personal items.
An audit revealed nearly $124,000 in questionable spending by Colley and Kerekes. The forensic audit analyzed more than 600 transactions involving Colley , Kerekes and other present and former school employees.
