Railroad Ticket Machines Now Functioning Correctly

For 24 hours, the machines could not accept credit or debit cards.

Metro-North Railroad says ticket machines at all of its stations are fully functioning.

Starting Friday morning, the machines were unable to process credit or debit cards, except in Grand Central Terminal. The railroad announced this morning the problem has been resolved.

The chairman of the Connecticut Rail Commuer Council, Jim Cameron, says the railroad told him each machine had to be individually reset. Cameron said the council will be looking for an explanation of the problem at its January meeting.
