Still River Greenway Clean-Up to Commence July 5
Two local firms are donating time and equipment to help with the cleanup.

BROOKFIELD, CT -- The Parks and Recreation Department has announced that clean-up of the Still River Greenway will commence July 5.
Two local firms, Wright Tree Service and Lewis Tree Service, are donating their time and equipment to start the clean-up, the Parks and Rec Department said in a release on Thursday. Earlier in the week, police had issued a warning to residents about steering clear of the area.
Phase One of the cleanup calls for crews to clear the area between the Police Station and downtown. Parks officials are estimating that section will re-open to the public on July 8. There is no plan in place yet to clear the Greenway from the Police Station south.
