Cheshire Resident Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Prospect: State Police

Police said the 22-year-old man was ejected from his motorcycle after a collision with a car.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Cheshire resident was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car Wednesday morning in Prospect, according to Connecticut State Police.

State troopers responded around 10:25 a.m. on March 25 to Route 69 (New Haven Road) at its intersection with Talmadge Hill Road on the report of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police said an investigation found that a 2025 Yamaha Xtz700 motorcycle that was being operated by Alexander Kaklyugin, 22, of Cheshire, was traveling north on Route 69 (New Haven Road) at its intersection with Talmadge Hill Road.

A 2023 Nissan Rogue Platinum that was being driven by a Plainville woman was traveling west on Talmadge Hill Road and trying to turn left onto Route 69, according to police.

Police said the Nissan collided with the motorcycle, causing it to overturn.

Kaklyugin was ejected from the motorcycle, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the Prospect Fire Department, police said.
