Administrative Assistant for Communications at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish in Cheshire, CT
An opportunity exists for a part-time (20 hours per week) Administrative Assistant for the Office of Communications. Duties will include but are not limited to; maintaining, creating, and coordinating all aspects of Social Media by maintaining and updating Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, for the Church, and updating the websites for the Church and the School. Additional duties will include the design of advertisements, signs and banners for both the Church and the School, as requested. Clerical duties in support of the Rectory office will be an important aspect of this position.
Qualified candidates must have one to three years of office experience and a strong computer knowledge, utilizing Social Media, Website design and maintenance, use of the internet as well as software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to meet deadlines and maintain exemplary written, verbal and interpersonal skills are important aspects of this position. A thorough knowledge and respect for the Roman Catholic Church and its teachings, is required. A degree in secretarial science or computer science would be helpful.
