Danbury Man Punched Woman Twice Before Robbing Her, Police Say: Report

DANBURY, CT — A woman was left temporarily unconscious after police say she was punched twice by a man and robbed in a Bank Street alley Wednesday, reports the News Times.

Thomas West, 38, is accused of punching the woman in the back of the head and the face before robbing her of $80 and a pack of cigarettes. Police say the woman identified him by name and he was later arrested at a friend's house.

Police say he was not found with the money or cigarettes, and he denies the incident.
