WEATHER UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Danbury

The National Weather Service in a Thursday update says the entire state could see stormy weather this afternoon and evening.

Update: A flash flood warning is now in effect for Danbury until 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has now issued a “Severe Thunderstorm Watch” for the entire state of Connecticut.

Earlier on Thursday, Hazardous Weather Outlooks were issued for all of Fairfield County, northern New Haven County, Hartford, and Tolland counties.

Now the entire state has been updated to a “Severe Thunderstorm Watch” which is now in effect until 7 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible after 3 p.m. and are expected to end before 9 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

“A line of thunderstorms likely 3PM-7PM from NW to SE here in CT. A warning for a strong wind gust possible. Will update you at noon! Please share with your friends and family!”
