1. Invest in a good water filter for home.
2. Drink a glass of water with lemon first thing upon waking in the morning. Drink 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day.
3. Choose natural cleaning products such a Meyers or 7th Generation. Use natural products such a vinegar and baking soda to clean kitchens and bathrooms.
4. Do a “mini” cleanse, eliminating processed foods, alcohol, and foods that irritate the gut such as gluten and dairy. Eat more fruits and vegetables and see how good you begin to start feeling after a week.
5. Personal care products: Do not put anything on your skin that you would not eat! The skin is the largest organ in the body, and chemicals found in personal care products are absorbed right into the bloodstream. Use essential oils instead of synthetic perfumes. Natural and organic personal care products are readily available at Whole Foods or online.
6. Take milk thistle, which can reduce toxin induced liver damage.
7. Take the opportunity to de-clutter your home. Purge your living quarters of un-needed clutter and junk so your surroundings are more serene.
8. Invest in more plants for the home. Houseplants purify and renew indoor stale air by filtering out toxins, pollutants, and the carbon dioxide we exhale, replacing them with life sustaining oxygen.
9. Do a daily yoga practice incorporating twisting postures. Twists create a “wring and soak” action, wringing out toxins from the internal organs during the twist, and filling the internal organs with fresh blood and oxygen when the twist is released.
10. Evaluate your relationships. Create boundaries to those who rob your of creative energy. Focus on those that nourish your and bring out your innate goodness. Drop relationships that are toxic.
