New Survey Launched To Gauge Feedback On Possible Darien Flag Redesign

DARIEN, CT — A Darien High School senior who is leading an effort to possibly redesign the town flag has launched a new survey.

Harris Cavanna sent out a survey in January seeking feedback for the Board of Selectmen on potential new designs for the town flag, and he received over 900 responses and 200 additional comments, according to an update on the process from Cavanna in a special newsletter from First Selectman Jon Zagrodzky.

"It is clear that there are mixed opinions as to whether the Town flag should be changed. Although there was support for the new designs, there was also support for keeping the flag as is," Cavanna said. "This new survey serves to further gauge the level of support for change, introduce new designs based on the emails and comments of citizens, and re-test support for the most popular designs, including the original flag."
