Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Durham and Middlefield
We take an in-depth look at the holiday weekend weather forecast and what to expect as many people will be traveling.

A βHazardous Weather Outlookβ has been issued for all of southern Connecticut for Friday afternoon as brief periods of snow squalls could produce a quick coating of snow and complicate travel. For those of you living in Hartford and Tolland counties, no snow squalls are expected for you today, it will just be a seasonal winter day.
In a statement, the National Weather Service says residents in Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties could see isolated snow squalls this afternoon which could briefly reduce visibilities to a half mile or less and produce a quick coating of snow.
The weather service makes it clear that the snow squalls will be isolated in nature and not every place in southern Connecticut will see snow.
