The East Hampton boys basketball team had little trouble with Lyme-Old Lyme last night (March 1) as they defeated the Wildcats, 87-61.
Especially noteworthy was senior guard Matt Vasquenza's 1000th point for the Bellringers, which he procured on a three-point goal in the third quarter. The last male Bellringer to attain the 4-digit total was Brian Krepcio in 1997.
The Bellringers will continue play in the Shoreline Conference Tournament on Tuesday, March 4, when they travel to Westbrook for a 7:30 game.
