A two-vehicle accident late Friday night on Route 66 across from the Chatham Apartments has left two people hospitalized.
The extent of the injuries was unknown, though the driver of the Ford Ranger was injured seriously enough for LifeStar to be called.
There were no passengers in either vehicle, the other a Kia Sportage. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. There also were numerous beer cans visible inside and outside the Ford. However, the accident is under investigation and no determination of whether alcohol played a role in the crash has been made.
