David Larson, the operator of the motor bike involved in an accident on North Main Street in East Hampton on Tuesday evening, is listed in critical condition at Hartford Hospital as of 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

An East Hampton man was seriously injured when his motor bike crashed into a SUV on North Main Street.

David Larson collided with an SUV when the SUV was turning into its driveway at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to reports at the scene. Larson was conscious when first responders arrived on the scene. He was taken to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar.

A female passenger in the SUV also was transported to a nearby hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Police, who characterized the motor bike as an off-road vehicle, are investigating the accident and had no further comment. Police did not release the names of those involved. Larson's name was identified by acquaintances and onlookers at the scene.
