WFSB: Family Remembers Life of Jini Barnum

The remains of the 30-year-old East Hampton woman were found this past weekend and police are investigating her death as a homicide

When the tragic news broke that Jini Barnum's remains were found along a country road in Glastonbury, members of her family flew in to Connecticut from as far as California and Arizona, according to WFSB.

The news station ran an article Wednesday reporting that the relatives of the missing East Hampton woman have "lost a lot of sleep over the past six weeks while they hope that she would be found alive."

The family plans on visiting the site this week where her remains were found the station reported.

Barnum and a massive search continued over the past six weeks. Her remains were discovered in a shallow grave on Windham Road Sunday morning by a woman walking her dog.

Her boyfriend, Anthony Garofalo, . Her Barnum's death has since been ruled .

WFSB reported that in high school Garofalo hunted on the land where Barnum's body was found.

Local police in East Hampton and Glastonbury, as well as the Connecticut State Police, continue to investigate how Barnum was murdered.
