Public Works crews prepared drains and are monitoring conditions, while the superintendent urges residents to stay home and avoid flooded roads until the storm and high tides subside.

• FEMA awards millions to emergency responders throughout Connecticut (wtnh.com) — East Haven's fire department is set to receive nearly $274,000 in FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant funding specifically for new firefighting hose. The award is part of almost $3.8 million going to departments statewide for equipment, vehicles, and training to better prepare first responders for future emergencies.
