The funds received from this event and its very popular Anginette Wars fundraiser are critical. Monies raised help support many free community services, including “Clothe the Children” and its annual commitment to provide over 250 free Thanksgiving meals for in need citizens.

And, due to the success of this fundraiser, the Club has been able to continue its partnership with Camp Rising Sun, which welcomes any child from five to 17 who has faced a diagnosis of cancer. These children enjoy a full week of fun and friendship at the camp.

East Haven Rotary has made a commitment that the Club will sponsor a deserving local child each year, enabling them to attend the camp. Corporate Sponsorships are also available. For more information, contact Rotarian Frank Gentilesco, Jr. at (203) 627-0602.

The East Haven Rotary Club, founded in 1939, is in its 85th year and has over the many decades been involved in thousands of projects helping the residents of not just East Haven but also around the world.
