The Connecticut State Police Troop C and Major Crime will host a Coin Drop event from 7-11 a.m. Aug. 14 on Route 83 near Big Y in Ellington to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut. During the event, law enforcement officers volunteer their time collecting coins and cash to support Special Olympics Connecticut.

In the event of rain or excessive heat, the concert will be held at the Somers Knights of Columbus Pavilion, 236 Main Street, Somers. Portable sanitized restrooms available for outdoor concerts and indoor restrooms for indoor concerts. Plenty of parking available. Accessible seating available. If feeling ill, kindly stay home.
