Enfield Arsonist's Mom Pleads Guilty to Witness Tampering
She pleaded under the Alford doctrine, as her son had done less than two weeks ago.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield woman whose teenage son recently pleaded guilty to setting several fires has admitted she fabricated evidence in order to try to help him.
Theresa Izzo, 50, of 390 Elm St., pleaded guilty under the Alford doctrine Tuesday to tampering with a witness and tampering with physical evidence, according to judicial records.
She had been accused of asking co-workers to sign letters she wrote, claiming her son, Davidson Izzo, was with her at work at an East Hartford diner during one of the fires he was charged with setting.
