Enfield Businessman Declares Intention to Seek 59th House District Seat
The seat will be vacated by incumbent Rep. David Kiner following this term.

ENFIELD, CT - An Enfield businessman and longtime political leader has announced he plans to seek the Democratic nomination for the 59th House District seat in the Connecticut General Assembly.
Tony DiPace, former chairman of the Enfield Planning & Zoning Commission and former Enfield Democratic Town Committee chair, announced his intention to seek the seat at an April 13 meeting of the town committee.
"I have not heard of any others that are interested so far," DiPace said in an interview Wednesday.
The 56-year-old lifelong Enfield resident, who graduated from Fermi High School in 1978 and owns Hazardville Motors on Route 190, served for nearly 20 years on the Planning & Zoning Commission, including four years as chairman.
"The state needs a lot of help, and I have a lot of experience with planning and zoning and bringing business to town," he said. "Instead of layoffs or tax increases, the state needs to invest more to attract businesses and create jobs to get people back working."
