The single most pressing issue facing Enfield is: Tolls and its impact on Rt 5, the side roads and industrial traffic on town owned roads. I intend to remain opposed to tolls and we may need to designate specific roads as truck routes and remain vigilant that the State does the proper maintenance on its roads; like Rt 190, Rt 220, Rt 5. Enfield will focus on its road work and spend our referendum road dollars wisely.
List other issues that define your campaign platform: I will continue to keep a collaborative and cooperative relationship with the BOE, find ways to serve more seniors in effective ways, keeping the budget manageable in uncertain times.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job: I have effectively juggled being a full time, married, working mom of 2, and President of First Readers, Vice Chairwoman of the school board, Chairman of Finance Committee, a member of Joint Facilities, Box Top Coordinator of Henry Barnards PTO and a Den Leader and Committee Chair for Cub Scout Pack 818. I can multitask and I believe in Enfield and want to make the little piece of world I live in the best it can be.
The best advice ever shared with me was: If it was free, everyone would have it, if it was easy, everyone would do it, don't be everyone, you be you. - my parents
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions: I believe in Enfield and put my heart and soul in providing good service to the residents who voted for me to be on the BOE. I now will continue that promise when elected to the town council and ask everyone to vote for the Republicans on Row B...because they have proven themselves to be great leaders and I have learned so much from this team. On November 5th I ask you to vote for all of us, so we can continue the good work for you, Enfield.
