ENFIELD, CT — The winter sports season is now behind us, spring has officially arrived and practices and scrimmages are now underway for all seven CIAC-sanctioned spring sports in Connecticut. With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship.

Surprisingly, neither Enfield nor the now-defunct Enrico Fermi high schools have ever captured a team state championship during the spring months. However, five spring teams from town have finished as state runners-up, including four from EHS.
