Enfield Schools to Dismiss Early on Monday
A forecast of oppressive heat has caused education officials to alter Monday's school hours in Enfield.

ENFIELD, CT — Due to a forecast of oppressive heat Monday, all Enfield public schools, Stowe Early Learning Center and parochial schools will follow the early dismissal schedule with lunch.
A modified senior exam schedule at Enfield High School has been announced for that day. Seniors will still have 82-minute blocks to take exams during periods 3 and 7, but periods 1 and 5 will be shortened. The high school schedule will be as follows:
- Period 1 - start 7:26, end 8:10
- Period 3 - start 8:15, end 9:37
- Period 5 - start 9:42, end 10:22
- Period 7 - start 10:27, end 11:50
- Eagle Block (lunch) - start 11:50, end 12:20
All after-school activities, Park & Recreation and Enfield Adult Education Classes have been canceled. The Enfield Child Development Center and ERfC School Age Centers will remain open.
