• Enfield Firefighters Begin Careers; Police Graduates Start Training (patch.com) — Newly pinned firefighters Cameron Paliy and Nicholas Liquori are beginning their careers serving Enfield Fire District No. 1, while four Enfield police officers have just graduated the academy and are starting 16 weeks of field training in town. Residents are encouraged to welcome the firefighters and can expect to see the new officers on supervised patrols before they move into solo duty.
   

• Enfield Man Killed In Rollover; Police Seek Video (patch.com) — An Enfield man, 44-year-old Matthew W. Bennett, died after his SUV and another vehicle made contact on I-91 South in Windsor near Exit 36 Thursday afternoon. State police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam video from that stretch around 5:11 p.m. to contact Troop H or Trooper Joshua Durant.
   

• Enfield Winner Lands Six-Figure Lottery Prize (shorenewsnetwork.com) — An Enfield resident has claimed a $100,000 prize from a RED HOT 10S scratch-off ticket bought at T Ville Food Mart right in town. The Connecticut Lottery recorded the win on Sept. 30, though the player's name and purchase date were not released, giving locals one more reason to check any recent tickets.
