Fire Breaks Out Again at Enfield Manufacturer [VIDEO]

A fire was extinguished earlier this morning and it's reignited this evening.

UPDATE, 9:45 p.m.

Fire has once again reignited at Yankee Castings on Shaker Road Tuesday evening, almost 11 hours after fire crews extinguished a blaze there this morning.

This time the fire, which began around 8:40 p.m. is even more serious and mutual aid includes the Tolland, Somers and East Windsor fire departments.

Original post: ENFIELD, CT - Firefighters have contained a blaze at a manufacturing company in eastern Enfield.

The fire at Yankee Castings on Shaker Road broke out around 9:35 a.m., necessitating response from all five Enfield fire departments, plus a tanker from neighboring Somers, said Mark Zarcaro, public information officer.

Firefighters had the fire knocked down within 15 minutes of arrival. Personnel are still ventilating the building, Zarcaro said.

This was the second fire at this site in the past three months; the last was Dec. 22, 2015.
