Golf Course In Enfield Paying Tribute to America
The club has replaced its regular pin flags with American flags to help commemorate the birthday of the United States.

ENFIELD, CT — The Fourth of July holiday may be officially over, but Grassmere Country Club in Enfield is continuing to show its patriotism by displaying the American flag on each of its nine greens.
The Kamerer family, owners of the club for more than 35 years, replaced the course's regular pin flags with small American flags as an Independence Day tribute. They plan to continue using the Stars and Stripes through the end of this week.
Yellow stands have been installed at the edge of each green for the flag to be placed while players are putting, in accordance with one of the guidelines of proper flag etiquette, "Do not let the flag touch the ground."
