State Basketball, Hockey Tournament Games Shuffled Due to Snow

Predictions of a snowstorm expected to dump 5 to 10 inches of snow across Connecticut Wednesday has forced high school sports officials to juggle schedules in some of the boys basketball and boys and girls ice hockey tournaments.

All games slated for Wednesday have been postponed; two Division I boys ice hockey matchups were moved up to Tuesday, with No. 2 Greenwich defeating No. 15 St. Joseph, 5-0, and No. 7 Northwest Catholic getting by No. 10 Simsbury, 3-1.
