Waste Hauling Company Buys Former LEGO Building In Enfield
USA Hauling & Recycling recently paid $1.85 million to acquire the Taylor Road building which formerly was home to LEGO.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield-based waste hauling and recycling company which has long outgrown its Mullen Road facility has acquired the former LEGO building on Taylor Road for $1.85 million, according to Enfield property records.
USA Hauling & Recycling Inc., which has developed into one of the largest waste management companies in New England, closed the deal in early October, buying the 90,000-plus square foot facility from Winstanley Enterprises.
Founded by Sonny Antonacci in 1974, USA Hauling is now operated by his sons Frank and Jerry. For the past 20 years, the company has been headquartered in a 13,800 square foot building at 15 Mullen Road, but extensive growth has necessitated the opening of several satellite offices.

Chief operating officer Frank Antonacci told Patch, "We recently outgrew our office on Mullen Road, and we’ve had to set up satellite offices throughout Connecticut. The Taylor Road building allows us to bring the office back together again."
Outreach specialist April Regan said the customer service, engineering, finance, collections and accounting departments will relocate to the new building. She and Antonacci both emphasized no dispatch or hauling operations will be on Taylor Road, instead remaining at the satellite locations.

"Enfield is a great community, and we are happy to expand our headquarters here," Antonacci said. "This is a unique property and through our renovations, we hope to make it a one-of-a-kind headquarters."
Regan estimated renovations to the property may take about a year to complete.
