Judge Jails Fairfield Mother for a Third Day in Missing Son Case
The boy was reported missing in December and his father, and the judge, believe the mother knows where he is and isn't telling.
A Fairfield mother maintained in court Thursday that she does not know the whereabouts of her missing son and as a result, the judge had her jailed for a third day, according to the Connecticut Post.
Daniel Tepfer of the Post reports that for the first time Kathryn Sorrentino told Superior Court Judge Gerard Adelman she would be willing to take a lie detector test.
Adelman has told Sorrentino, of Curtis Terrace, that she will be brought back into court every day at 2 p.m. and be asked where her son, Storm Sorrentino, is and if she doesn’t answer, she will go back to jail.

Kathryn Sorrentino and her husband Saverio Sorrentino, of Newtown, were divorced in 2007 and Saverio was awarded custody of Storm.
Saverio Sorrentino reported Storm missing in December and told the judge on Wednesday that he is convinced that Kathryn Sorrentino knows where Storm is, according to the Post.

Kathryn Sorrentino told Adelman on Wednesday that she hadn’t seen her son in three months and during Thursday’s questioning, she again said she didn’t have any information on Storm’s whereabouts and told the judge that the first time she heard he was missing was from her daughter in an email, according to the Post.
Adelman told her that the court “does not find your testimony to be truthful,” according to Tepfer.
Storm Sorrentino has been listed on the website for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
According to the website, Storm Sorrentino, 14, has been missing from Norwalk since Dec. 21, 2014. He is described as white with brown hair and brown eyes and is 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. According to the website, Storm may be in the company of adult female relatives.
Anyone with information on Storm Sorrentino’s whereabouts is asked to call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3113.
