Notre Dame-Fairfield Near Top of Initial Girls Soccer Poll

The Lancers opened the new season with four straight shutout victories, netting 17 goals in that span.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Coming off a Class M girls soccer state championship last season, the Granby Bears are out to retain that position by posting shutout victories in their first three games this season.

Granby received four of six first-place votes from coaches as the top team in Classes M/S. Notre Dame-Fairfield, which placed second, and Northwest Catholic each received a first-place vote.

Defending Class LL champion Ridgefield High School was the leading votegetter among Classes LL and L teams.
