Trumbull Man Accused of Assault with a Vodka Bottle on Fairfield University Campus
The man allegedly hit another in the face with the bottle.

A Trumbull man is accused of hitting a Fairfield University graduate in the face with a vodka bottle at a campus townhouse, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports that Paul J. Monks, 20, of Saxony Drive, was arrested on a warrant and charged with second-degree assault in connection with the Oct. 15 incident.

The victim, who was visiting his girlfriend at the townhouse, told police he was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom and was awoken when Monks walked in and turned on a light. Monks, who was holding a bottle of vodka, walked out of the room and went back downstairs, according to the Citizen.
Monks, who was an unregistered guest of one of the roommates, then allegedly hit the victim in the face with the bottle as he was escorting him out the front door, according to the Citizen.
