Weather Postpones Tournament Game For Fairfield American

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield American 12U baseball team’s opening game in the Little League state championship tournament against Wallingford has been postponed to Thursday due to weather. Fairfield will take on Wallingford on Thursday, July 26 at 8 p.m. at East Lyme Field (31 Society Road in Niantic).

Fairfield American, which advanced to the Little League World Series last year, won the Section I championship with a 5-2 victory over Milford. Wallingford won the Section II championship with a 10-2 victory over Shelton American. It was the program’s third straight sectional championship.
