Welcome Home Event Planned For Fairfield American Little League Team

The New England and state champions are coming home today (Aug. 25) and all are encouraged to greet them and join in the festivities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield American is heading home from Williamsport, Pennsylvania after its impressive run in the Little League World Series and they will be greeted with a Welcome Home Event on Friday afternoon. Town officials are encouraging everyone to come out to Sherman Green and welcome the team home after they proudly represented Fairfield and the state of Connecticut during the Little League World Series. The team is expected to return home between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The festivities will include a bounce house, dunk tank, and DJ Marvin Parsons. Senator Richard Blumenthal, First Selectman Mike Tetreau, and many dignitaries will also welcome home and congratulate the New England Champions after an impressive third-place finish in the U.S. bracket of the Little League World Series. Fairfield American’s dream season came to an end with a loss to Texas on Thursday night.
