FARMINGTON, CT — Two local convenience stores were burglarized early Monday morning, with police investigating.

According to Farmington Police Department spokesman Lt. Matthew S. Corcoran, the two incidents happened at about 2:30 a.m. Monday.

He said burglars "forced entry" into Scott's Village Mobile at 843 Farmington Ave. as well as the Go Happy Gas Mart at 989 Farmington Ave.

Corcoran said the businesses were closed at the time of the break-ins.

"The incidents are actively being investigated by the Farmington Detective Division and no arrests have been made at this point," wrote Corcoran in a statement Monday morning.

Because the investigation is ongoing, no further information was available.
