Details Released on April Arson in Glastonbury
Police on Tuesday released the details on a Glastonbury teen charged with with first-degree arson.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Police on Tuesday released the details on a local teen charged with with first-degree arson in connection with a March 30 fire at a Glastonbury home.
Collin Dougherty, 19, was taken into custody April 26, police said.
In addition to the arson, he is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The fire at 2434 Hebron Ave. took place at 3:55 a.m. on March 30, according to case records. A total of 19 firefighters fought the fire for about 90 minutes and the home sustained extensive damage.
Police found a dry cellphone at the scene, which was off because it had rained earlier that night, according to case records. According to case records, an accelerant was located under a chair.

The house was "significantly damaged," according to case records.
