Glastonbury School Board Honors GHS Teacher for Exchange Student Work

The Glastonbury Board of Education honored GHS teacher Lynelle Kucharski for her work with the town's foreign exchange program.

 

A foreign language teacher was recognized by the Board of Education Monday for her work organizing successful foreign exchange trips at Glastonbury High School.

During their Monday meeting, the school board recognized semi-retired GHS French and Spanish teacher Lynnelle Kucharski for years of organizing student exchange trips to France and Spain, as well as China, Italy and Russia.

Board Chairwoman Susan Karp said that Kucharski has volunteered her time to ensure that students that were visiting Glastonbury from abroad were safe, successful, and enjoyed their stay. While many people might not know Kucharski, Karp said, they know how successful the exchange program has been.
