Glastonbury School District Posts Job Opening for Eastbury Principal
The school district has posted a job opening looking for a replacement for Principal Nancy Bean, who will take over for Matthew Dunbar as the principal of Glastonbury High School.

The Glastonbury school district has posted a job opening looking for a new principal for Eastbury Elementary School to replace former principal Nancy Bean.
School officials are hoping to hire a new principal for the position soon.

Bean will take former principal Matthew Dunbar’s place at Glastonbury High School, after she was selected from a field of 15 applicants for the position.
Bean remains at Eastbury for the time being, and will begin her role at GHS after a replacement principal has taken over Eastbury, the superintendent’s office said. Dunbar will move on to his new position as assistant superintendent when Bean moves to GHS.

Bean began teaching in Weston as both an elementary and middle school health and physical education teacher, then moved on to Hall High School and Whiting Lane School in West Hartford. In 2006 she became assistant principal at Canton High School, before coming to Eastbury in 2010.
Bean is taking over for Matthew Dunbar, who was recently hired as the district’s new assistant superintendent.
